Key Dates & Format
The 2025-26 men’s SLB Championship season kicks off on Friday 19 September 2025. It will run through to Sunday 17 May 2026, with the Play-Off Finals taking place at The O2, London. All nine teams will take part in the Championship, Cup, and Trophy competitions, in addition to trying to qualify for the end-of-season Play-Offs. The Trophy Final is scheduled for Sunday 1 February 2026 at Utilita Arena Birmingham. The SLB Cup Final is set for Sunday 22 March 2026, and this is notable because it will be the first time a Final in the league is hosted at Manchester’s AO Arena.

Competition / Play-Offs Structure
The Championship (regular league) will see all nine teams compete, with the top eight teams qualifying for the Play-offs. Quarter-finals and semi-finals in the Play-offs will be played over two legs (home and away), decided on aggregate scores. The Finals of the Play-offs will be a single match at The O2, London.
Having the Cup Final in Manchester’s AO Arena is a fresh development — it’s a new venue for such a big game in the league’s young history. The trophy formats remain in place (Championship, Cup, Trophy, Play-offs), so the structure seems to be continuing relatively intact from the inaugural season. Fixture release for the Championship has already happened.
