ABOUT SUPER LEAGUE BASKETBALL - '25-26

The Super League Basketball (SLB) was launched in 2024 as the new top-tier men’s professional basketball competition, effectively replacing the former British Basketball League.

This season’s nine teams: Bristol Flyers, Caledonia Gladiators, Cheshire Phoenix, Leicester Riders, London Lions, Manchester Basketball, Newcastle Eagles, Sheffield Sharks & Surrey 89ers.

For the 2025-26 season, each team plays every other team home and away twice, giving a 32-game regular season schedule.

The SLB Trophy sees the nine teams split into three geographical groups of three, with group winners and the best runner-up advancing to two-legged semi-finals and then a final.

After those competitions, the top eight teams from the Championship qualify for post-season play-offs, with quarter- and semi-finals based on aggregate scores and a final held at London’s O2 arena.

The division brings together the top professional clubs in Great Britain under a unified framework. Click below to find out more on each club.
