Molten has today been announced as the official basketball of the newly established British Championship Basketball (BCB). The partnership reinforces Molten’s long-standing commitment to the development of basketball across the UK and Ireland, where the brand already serves as the official basketball supplier to Super League Basketball and Basketball Ireland
“As basketball continues to grow in the UK and Ireland, Molten is proud to play a central role in supporting its progress at every level,” said Paul Reaney, UK & Ireland Brand Manager, Molten. “Through partnerships with the BCB, Super League Basketball, and Basketball Ireland, we are creating a consistent standard of excellence that benefits athletes, inspires fans, and strengthens the future of the game.”
BCB will use Molten’s new BG4550, a premium composite leather matchball which features Molten’s new game-ready pebble surface. The same matchball will debut in this year’s SLB, delivering a consistent experience for players in the country’s top two divisions.
“We are thrilled to welcome Molten as our Official Basketball Partner,” said Russell Levenston, Commercial Director, BCB. “Molten’s reputation for quality and innovation is second to none, and their existing commitment to Super League Basketball and Basketball Ireland highlights a shared vision for the growth of the sport across the UK and Ireland. Together, we will create an exciting new chapter for British basketball.”
The British Championship Basketball has been designed to raise the profile of the sport domestically, showcasing the best British talent and delivering a dynamic, professional competition for players and supporters alike. The partnership will officially launch with the tip-off of the inaugural BCB season in late September.
